Hold Out Days respects copyright, both its own and everyone else's. This page explains how to tell us about material on holdoutdays.com that you believe infringes your rights, and what we do about it.
Our own material
The text, layout, stylesheet and graphics on this site were produced for it and belong to the publisher unless credited otherwise. Republishing substantial parts of them without written permission is not permitted; the Terms of Use describe what is allowed, including short quotation with a credit and a link.
If you find our text republished elsewhere, we are glad to hear about it: [email protected].
Reporting an infringement to us
If you own copyright in material that appears on this site without permission, send a notice to the address below. To let us act on it, please include all of the following:
- Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- Identification of the work you say has been infringed — a link to the original, or a description sufficient to identify it.
- The exact location of the material on this site: the full URL, and where on the page it appears.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for the owner, made under penalty of perjury.
- Your physical or electronic signature.

Email reaches us fastest. A notice that is missing the items above may delay our response, because we may have to come back to you for them.
What we do when a notice arrives
We read it, and we act promptly where it is well founded. In practice that means removing or disabling access to the material in question while we look into it, and telling you what we have done. We would usually rather remove something and discuss it than leave a disputed item online.
Counter-notice
If material of yours has been removed from this site as a result of a notice and you believe the removal was mistaken, write to the same address with: your contact details; identification of the material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your consent to the jurisdiction of an appropriate court; and your signature.
Repeat infringement
We do not host material submitted by readers, so this site has no user accounts to terminate. Where any contributor to the site were found to infringe repeatedly, we would end the arrangement.
Trade marks and other rights
Product and company names mentioned on this site may be trade marks of their owners. They are used to identify the thing being discussed and do not imply any association with, or endorsement by, the owner. If you believe a reference misuses your mark, write to [email protected].
