Cookie Policy
Last reviewed 27 October 2026
A cookie is a small file that a website asks your browser to store, so that something can be remembered between requests. Similar technologies — local storage, pixels, tags — do comparable things. This page describes what may be used on holdoutdays.com.
What this site sets itself
Nothing, in the ordinary case. Hold Out Days is a static website with no accounts, no shopping basket and no comment section, so it has nothing of its own to remember about you. If that ever changes, this page will be updated before the change goes live.
What may be set by others
Two things can bring third-party cookies onto a page here.
Advertising and measurement. Traffic to this site is sometimes bought through advertising platforms, including Google Ads. Where a measurement or conversion tag is active on a page, the provider may set or read cookies in order to count a visit, to attribute it to an advertisement, or to limit how often an advertisement is shown.
Content from other services. Where a page embeds something hosted elsewhere, the service providing it may set its own cookies. This site avoids embeds for exactly this reason, and for speed.
Cookies set by another company are governed by that company's own privacy and cookie terms, not by ours. We cannot read them and we do not control how long they last.
Categories, in plain terms
| Strictly necessary | Required to deliver the page or keep it secure. Cannot sensibly be refused without breaking the site. |
|---|---|
| Measurement | Counts visits and attributes them to an advertisement. Refusable. |
| Advertising | Used by an advertising platform to limit repetition and measure campaigns. Refusable. |
How to refuse or remove them
Every current browser lets you block or delete cookies, including third-party cookies specifically, and lets you clear what is already stored. The controls are under Settings, usually under Privacy, Cookies, or Site data, and most browsers also offer a private window that discards everything at the end of the session.
Blocking third-party cookies does not stop you reading this site. Nothing here depends on them.
Advertising platforms also publish their own opt-out and ad-settings controls, which apply across every site that uses them rather than only this one.
Consent, where it is required
Where the law that applies to you requires consent before a non-essential cookie is set, that consent is asked for before the cookie is placed, and it can be withdrawn at any time by clearing the cookies in your browser and refusing them again.
